Safe Social Network Site Applications

Social Network Sites and Positive Activities

We know that hearing about positive activities from friends is one of the key ways in which activities are discovered. Much of young people's communication with friends now takes place inside Social Network Sites (SNS) and so it is important for Plings data to be available within SNS.

Data can be made available within SNS using in-built tools such as profiles and pages. However, providers may also want to use SNS applications in order to encourage the spread of positive activity information in young people's social networks.

To pilot the use of SNS for positive activity promotion, Plings has commissioned NeonTribe to produce a SNS Application.
